In 2010, some friends of mine shot an independent film in Dallas in only two weeks for less than $10K. While I wasn't able to help during production, I cajoled them into letting me cut the trailer, which is now available on Apple Trailers and IMDB. You can see the film itself on any number of streaming services (iTunes, Amazon), and the soundtrack is available on iTunes. www.betweennotesmovie.com

During my brief stint working for HP, I produced and directed a series of short videos that were shown at an internal sales conference. Here are two of my favorites from that series.

With little direction and dozens of hours of footage, I cut together this sizzle reel for a reality pilot for the Discovery Channel. Filmed in the DFW area, my job was to introduce the characters and conflict that occupy this local motorcycle chop-shop.

This client approached us to produce a video that would excite their donor base, introduce their new Athletic Director, and capitalize on their recent addition to the PAC 12. Oh, and they wanted it to go "viral." That word has lost its claws (pun intended) lately, and I find that everybody says they want their video to go viral even if they really don't. Luckily, this piece did just that, and brought home a couple of Telly Awards to boot (one of which was specifically for editing).

This ad for Children's Medical Center of Dallas appeared during the trailers of every film screened at the Studio Movie Grill chain of theaters throughout 2011. Its star is a precocious kid named Adrian (who underwent a kidney transplant at CMC) as he reenacts some of his favorite movie scenes.

The original concept for this video was to use a projector screen instead of an iPad. But when the rental company accidentally delivered an 8x10 foot screen on the day of the shoot instead of the 2x3 screen we had ordered, I had to scramble. Luckily, I had my brand new trusty iPad with me on the shoot, and made the last minute decision to use it instead. In retrospect that should've been plan A, as it allowed us to dip the iPad in and out of frame in a way that the projector screen wouldn't have.

I was hired to produce a series of video intros for an internal sales conference for Tektronix Communications. My love of film inspired me to use some of the most famous characters in cinema to do the introductions.
